Today, I’ll talk about the next part of the process, riding the wave of a craving and allowing it to QUIET.

 

You can do this by becoming aware of the craving, your hands, and the space around you.

 

Start as usual with: Pause → Diffuse → Include the craving.

 

Then, widen your attention even more. Become aware of your hands, and notice the space around your body, to the sides, in front, behind, above, and below.

 

Sense that this space has always been there, quiet, open, still. You’ll notice your mind becoming quiet, and your body beginning to relax.

 

This awareness of space is a key element in QUETING cravings. You could say that the craving becomes just one small ripple in a vast field of energy created by the connection between body and space, and then it gently dissolves into it.
