FIND THE CRAVING

.Today, we’ll look at what exactly triggers a craving, in other words, what starts the behaviour
that ends with you putting something into your mouth.

 

Here’s how it goes: when the interrupter catches you — PAUSE. Feel both of your hands for a moment. In other words, DIFFUSE YOUR ATTENTION to bring calm into your mind.

 

Then, look at your craving,  the yoghurt, the snack, whatever is calling you.
 

Don’t turn away. Keep your eyes on it while staying aware of both hands. Hold both —
your hands and the craving — in the same field of attention.

 

Notice that I’m not asking you to fight the craving or distract yourself from it. Instead, I’m inviting you to INCLUDE MORE  in your awareness, your hands, your whole body and the craving itself.
